Guest Service Host | Stargazing Guide
About the role
We are on the lookout for an exceptional Guest Services Host / Stargazing Guide who is fluent in Mandarin and passionate about delivering unforgettable experiences to our Chinese-speaking guests. This is a unique hybrid role that combines guest hosting across our core operations with the opportunity to lead Stargazing Tours as required.
As part of our Guest Services and Stargazing teams, you'll be the welcoming face of Skyline, providing world-class service, offering assistance, and sharing your knowledge of our attractions and facilities. In addition, you'll deliver guided tours under the night sky, giving guests a deeper insight into our solar system and beyond through our bespoke Stargazing experience.
This role involves evening work and requires flexibility across a 7-day operational week, including weekends and public holidays.
The perfect candidate will have / be:
- fluency in Mandarin (Cantonese also desirable),
- minimum 2 years customer experience,
- a confident, professional, and engaging communication style,
- a genuine interest in astronomy and the ability to engage with groups or tour audiences is preferred.
This role offers:
- $27.50 – $31.00 per hour (minimum 30 hours guaranteed),
- as this role occasionally includes responsibilities as a Stargazing Guide, the pay rate for those guiding duties will be $31.00 per hour.
